"We have been attending Helen's classes since, well, let's just say at least one full Golden Retriever life span plus some! We are very active in DFWM Golden Rescue, and have taken our rescue and adopted dogs to Canine Counselors as well. first met Helen in January 1999 when Cocoa and I enrolled in one of
her classes. I was immediately impressed with the care and individual
attention she gave to the dogs and students.
Since
I had a Dachshund, one session wasn't enough. I took advantage of her
lifetime guarantee and signed up for a second session. With her help
and encouragement, I have a well-trained Dachshund.
After
the second session I was asked to be a class assistant. I accepted,
and worked with Helen for about 2 years.
Her main goal is to see both dog and student succeed. She uses many different methods and has lots of tricks up her sleeve. If one won't work, she is willing to try something else.
I have seen a lot of Problem Dogs come to class, and leave as Great Family Dogs.
I've worked with other trainers and have tried different training methods, but I still go back to Helen to get it right."
